RPI Quantum Computing Club ยท Hackathon 2026
Code of Conduct
All participants, mentors, judges, sponsors, and organizers at the RPI Quantum Hackathon are required to agree to and follow this code of conduct. Organizers will enforce it throughout the event.
Expected conduct
Treat all participants, mentors, judges, and organizers with respect. Disagreements happen โ handle them constructively.
Harassment and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes conduct based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, age, or disability status.
All submitted work must be built during the hackathon. Passing off others' work as your own is grounds for immediate disqualification.
Fair play
Projects must be original work started at the event. Continuing a pre-existing project is not permitted.
Use of open-source libraries, APIs, and frameworks is encouraged, but must be disclosed in your project submission. Any pre-written code used as a starting point must be clearly identified.
All judging decisions are final. Participants are welcome to ask judges for feedback after awards, but outcomes are not subject to appeal.
Violations & reporting
Violations of this code of conduct may result in a warning, disqualification of a team's submission, or removal from the event โ at the sole discretion of the organizers.
The RPI Quantum Computing Club organizers have final authority on all code of conduct matters during the event.
How to report a violation
If you experience or witness a violation of this code of conduct, please contact the organizers directly at rpi.quantum.computing.club@gmail.com or find an organizer in person at the event. All reports will be handled with discretion and taken seriously.
